In-situ investigation of atomic-scale structural changes

Control over atmosphere and temperature together with electric measurements allows the study of material response to external stimuli.

Specifically tailored low-pressure atmospheres (10-10 to 10-7 mbar) allow chemical experimentation, such as tailoring the edges of graphene or controlling the pore growth in different 2D materials. At the same time, it can be used to study the catalytic activity of nanostructures during atomic-resolution imaging.
