Congratulations to PNM member Manuel Längle, who was recently awarded with two prizes, the Hans Thirring prize for outstanding PhD theses and the Theodor Körner prize for excellent scientific projects in progress.
Manuel received the Hans Thirring Prize for his PhD thesis "Low-energy ion irradiation on 2D materials - from single defects to few-atom noble gas clusters".
The Theodor Körner Prize was for his project "Melting of two-dimensional van der Waals systems".
