Wael Joudi successfully defended his PhD thesis on July 27, 2026.

 

Wael Joudi successfully defended his PhD thesis on July 27, 2026, with supervisor Jani Kotakoski, chair Thomas Pichler, and opponents Wu Zhou (University of Chinese Academy of Science) and Ivan Brihuega (Universidad Autonoma de Madrid). Wael's thesis was on the topic "Defects in graphene: Oxidative nanopore formation, mechanical softening and metallene growth". Congratulations!
We are looking forward to continue working with Wael as a postdoc!
